Whatever the subject of my photography, it is a reflection of me, of my past and present sensory and emotional experiences. Through a close inner and camera focus, mundane objects are transformed. They become metaphors, often fragmented, incomplete, or obstructed, like our perceptions or memories.

I received my MFA degree in Photography from San Jose State University in 2015. Some of the venues where my work has been exhibited are: Triton Museum, Santa Clara; De Young Museum, San Francisco; Adobe Art Gallery, Castro Valley; Modernbook Gallery, Palo Alto; Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO; Photoplace Gallery, Middlebury,VT; Metenkov Photography Museum, Yekaterinburg, Russia. I am currently living in Northern California.

While working on my MFA degree in Photography at San Jose State University, I became interested in ceramics in general and pottery in particular. For my ceramic work, please visit http://www.tomaterraceramics.com/

In the Spring of 2020 I developed interest in Botanical or Eco Printing. To read my story and see some examples of my work, please visit Botanical Prints section on this website.
